Centre of Polymer Systems
The Centre of Polymer Systems is a modern research complex complying with the latest requirements for research into polymer systems and the use of the latest technology. More than 120 Czech and foreign researchers are supposed to work there. The main area of research will be advanced polymer systems with the ability to form original structures, e.g. polymer nanofibres, materials for medical applications, biopolymers or smart polymer materials.
The construction commenced in April 2013, the final inspection if the building took place in November 2014.
ICT Technology Park
The Technology Park focusing on information and communication technologies offers more than 5,000 m2 of laboratories and other spaces, which are intended for the Centre for Security, Information and Advanced Technologies of the Faculty of Applied Informatics, as well as for IT companies located there as tenants. The Park also provides spaces for business incubator intended for new/recently formed companies founded by TBU graduates.
The construction commenced in April 2011 and was completed in June 2012.
Laboratory Centre of the Faculty of Technology
The modern building situated next to the current building of the Faculty of Technology houses teaching and special laboratories equipped with modern devices used mainly in follow-up Master’s and doctoral programmes as well as for R&D activities at the Faculty.
The construction commenced in March 2012 and was completed by the end of 2013. The opening ceremony of the Laboratory Centre of the FT took place on 25 April 2014.
TBU Educational Centre
The TBU Educational Centre will provide teaching premises in the sphere of humanities, in particular. The author of the project is the world-renowned architect, Prof. Eva Jiřičná, who has designed the building in close proximity to the complex of the Congress and University Centre.
