About Us

The Department of Chemistry, launched as an independent department on 1 April 2006, had been part of the Department of Food Engineering and Chemistry before. The departmental staff provide a full range of lessons in the fields of general, organic, inorganic and technical chemistry within all the Bachelor’s courses taught at the Faculty of Technology. They also provide lessons within the Master’s course in Food Chemistry and Chemistry of Bioactive Substances. Apart from this, the staff are responsible for arranging the regional round of the Chemistry Olympiad for students at the secondary school level.
