The Position of a Researcher with a Focus on the Circular Economy

The University Institute of Tomas Bata University in Zlín is announcing a selection procedure to fill research and development positions at the Centre of Polymer Systems with a focus on Circular Economy.
Responsibilities:
- You will join a research team focused primarily on polymers and biomaterials, with the goal of fulfilling the principles of the circular economy.
- Collaborating with scientific teams from research institutions and universities at both the national and international levels.
- Participating in the development of new research infrastructure.
- Contributing to the preparation and implementation of research projects.
- Collaborating on projects with industry partners
Requirements:
- A Ph.D. graduate or someone close to completion of a doctoral programme in chemical or related field.
- Ability to work independently in a chemical laboratory
- Communication skills for everyday work situations in Czech and English.
- Proficiency in presenting information in written and oral forms in Czech and English.
- Computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
- Quick learner
- With the ability to make prompt judgments based on theoretical knowledge and current information.
- Moral and civic integrity.

Job information:
Place of work: Zlín
Expected start date: June 2025 or by agreement
Type of employment: fixed-term with possibility of extension
Full-time job.
Given the scope of work, you will be also expected to travel to research sites outside of Zlín.

- documents proving completed education, i.e. copies of documents proving completed doctoral studies at a university in the Czech Republic or a comparable degree at a foreign university (can be provided during the selection procedure)
