TBU Presented Itself at Czech Space Week 2025

Representatives of the Centre of Polymer Systems (CPS) took part in the Space2Business event on 20–21 October 2025, representing Tomas Bata University in Zlín (TBU). The event was held at the Liechtenstein Palace in Prague as part of Czech Space Week.

TBU delegates participated in a number of meetings with industrial partners from the Defence, Space and Aircraft sectors – strategic domains for the Zlín Region. These meetings helped strengthen cooperation between industrial partners and the Centre of Polymer Systems. The CPS representatives also met with several prominent representatives of the public sector, including those from CzechInvest, the Defence Hub and the National Cyber and Information Security Agency.

“We also established cooperation with technical research institutions, such as Istanbul Technical University, where our common scientific interests in the field of Space are complementary,” said Professor Ivo Kuřitka, leader of the Nanomaterials and Advanced Technologies research group at the CPS.

During the gala evening held in the Rudolf Gallery at Prague Castle, attendees heard a speech by the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, who addressed issues of airspace protection and security, as well as the direction of research and innovation efforts in these areas. Representatives of the Centre also had the opportunity to engage in informal discussions with several Consuls General regarding the development of cooperation with international partners.
