Assoc. Prof. David Tuček Re-elected as the Head of the Faculty of Management and Economics

The Faculty of Management and Economics (FaME) of Tomas Bata University in Zlín will be headed by doc. Ing. David Tuček, Ph.D. also in the following four years.

He has been elected the candidate to be appointed Dean for the second term of office by the Academic Senate of the Faculty. Assoc. Prof. Tuček was the only candidate for the office.

Last year, among the first higher education institutions in the Czech Republic, TBU obtained institutional accreditations, beside others, also for degree courses in economics that are taught at the FaME. In the ranking assessing the quality of universities in business and management subjects and in the ranking evaluating the quality of schools focused on accounting and finances, published by the renowned UK company Times Higher Education, TBU has been repeatedly ranked top among Czech higher education institutions.

In the following four years, the Dean wants to focus mainly on quality in all the key areas. “We have to continue in attracting excellent students to whom we will offer high quality education. We will concentrate on relevant research and innovations. In the area of internationalization, emphasis will be put on incoming as well as outgoing mobility of students as well as of the academic staff and researchers. The Faculty must also play an active third role in the life of the town and the region and pay attention to its personnel development,” Assoc. Prof. Tuček described his visions.

The FaME was established in 1995, thus being the second oldest Faculty of Tomas Bata University in Zlín.
