Experts Discussed Cyber Security at TBU

The Faculty of Applied Informatics, in particular, the Department of Informatics and Artificial Intelligence, hosted a conference entitled “Process Control and Application of Modern Technology – Cyber Security” between 12 and 14 September 2023. The 22nd edition of the conference was held this year.

The event was attended by more than 60 experts who, thanks to hybrid broadcasting and online transmission via ZOOM technology, were able to share interesting topics with up to 162 other participants. In addition to a number of fascinating lectures (see e-konference.utb.cz/program), three thematic discussion panels were prepared for the participants, namely: Artificial Intelligence, Directive on Security of Network and Information Systems 2, and New Technological Challenges of Cyber Security.

The event was put on under the patronage of the Impact Hub transfer centre and the Electrical and Electronic Association of the Czech Republic, which has been associating major organizations in the electrical industry for many years, and the Czech Management Association. During the conference, a Round Table of the Czech Management Association entitled “Challenges of Artificial Intelligence” was held.

“As now customary, the conference papers have been of excellent quality this year. The presenters as well as the panellists have prepared high-quality and interesting papers focused on the trends and visions in the area of cyber security, methods of infrastructure management and security, technologies related to industry and legislation and practices of cyber security education,” said Prof. Roman Jašek, Director of the Department of Informatics and Artificial Intelligence of the Faculty of Applied Informatics and scientific supervisor of the conference.
