Films by TBU Students Reach Student Academy Awards Semi-Finals
28. July 2021Two films by students from the Faculty of Multimedia Communications of Tomas Bata University in Zlín have been selected by the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to advance to the semi-final round of the Student Academy Awards.
In the competition of 1,402 student films submitted to the contest, the movie entitled “Old Gramophone’s Ghostly Tones” by students of the Animation Studio and the movie “Born Out of a Burning Apple Tree” by students of the Audiovisual Arts Studio have made it to the shortlist.
The final selection of student films will be announced at the end of summer holidays and the winner announcement ceremony will be held on 14 October 2021 in Los Angeles.
