FMC to Celebrate 20 Years of Existence in Autumn

The Faculty of Multimedia Communications (FMC) of Tomas Bata University in Zlín is going to celebrate a landmark anniversary. It has been producing talented designers, photographers, filmmakers, animators, and other experts in the sphere of culture and creativity for twenty years already.

During the autumn celebrations, the Faculty will hold an exhibition in two galleries in Zlín, outdoor concerts and a gala evening on the industrial premises of the former Svit.

The exhibition entitled “Dvacet let FMK” (Twenty Years of the FMC) will open on Tuesday, 20 September 2022 in the university gallery G18 in the new TBU building near the bus stop in Školní Street, and will continue in the Regional Gallery of Fine Arts in Zlín. A videomapping will be projected on the 14|15 BATA INSTITUTE at 9pm as part of the opening preview of the exhibition.

On Thursday, 22 September 2022, the FMC will invite influential people from Zlín and the entire Czech Republic to attend the gala evening on the premises of the former Svit factory, where teachers who have made the most significant contribution to the development of the Faculty over the past 10 years will receive awards. In the early evening of Friday, 23 September 2022, Homecoming celebrations will take place to welcome former FMC students back in Zlín. The event will be interspersed with a performance by the musician Ventolin.

The Faculty of Multimedia Communications was established in 2002. Currently, there are almost 1,200 students studying at the Faculty, namely in thirteen studios and at the Department of Marketing Communications. More than 6,000 graduates have successfully completed their studies at the Faculty over the 20 years.
