From Zlín to Dubai
29. September 2021The Industrial Design Studio of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications of Tomas Bata University in Zlín is going to represent the Czech Republic at the World EXPO 2020 to be hosted by Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
Unique 3D printed building blocks called “SANDIQ” will be presented in the world premiere at the permanent exhibition of the Czech National Pavilion. They have been designed by doc. MgA. Martin Surman, ArtD., Head of the Industrial Design Studio.
At the same time, a total of six collections of functional products designed by students and academic staff from the Industrial Design Studio in cooperation with leading Czech producers will be on view within the exposition “WATER INSPIRATION”. The studio project entitled “AQUADEMIQ” is focused on water and ecological sustainability.
