29. November 2023We are delighted to invite you to attend a lecture by Mrs. Zdeňka Wasserbauerová, entitled Let’s Give a Chance for Life! Donate a Gift of Life!
The mission of this remarkable lady is to recruit donors for the bone marrow registry. In 27 years, she has recruited an impressive 30,000 donors. Thanks to her determined efforts, dozens of patients have received the bone marrow transplants they needed. Unfortunately, a huge number of patients, both adults and children, such as seven-year-old Matěj from Zlín, are still waiting for their bone marrow donors.
All it takes is a swab from the inside of your cheek to find out if you are a match for a patient in need. If you want to learn about how it works in practice, come to the Faculty of Humanities (lecture hall No. 128) at 1pm on Tuesday, 5 December 2023.
The lecture is open to students and employees of all Faculties and component parts of TBU.
