President Petr Pavel Visits TBU during Zlín Film Festival

June 2026Tomas Bata University in Zlín had the honour of welcoming the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, during his visit to the Zlín Region and the 66th edition of the Zlín Film Festival. As part of his programme, President Pavel met with the Rector of the university, Professor Milan Adámek, and toured the University Centre building. He also visited the university’s virtual studio, gaining an insight into some of the modern technologies and facilities used in teaching, research and creative projects.
“We are delighted to welcome the President of the Czech Republic to Tomas Bata University,” said Professor Milan Adámek, Rector of TBU. “It was a privilege to introduce him to our University Centre and to showcase, albeit briefly, some of the activities and opportunities our university offers.”
The visit took place during the Zlín Film Festival, with which Tomas Bata University has enjoyed a long-standing partnership. The close cooperation between the festival and the university creates valuable opportunities to showcase innovation, creativity and the achievements of young people.
