TBU Confers Star Honorary Doctorates on Tereza Ramba and Jan Cina
7. June 2023Prof. Milan Adámek, Rector of TBU, conferred the so-called “Star Honorary Doctorate” for 2023 on popular Czech actors Tereza Ramba and Jan Cina in front of the Grand Cinema on 6 June 2023.
As now customary, the “Star Honorary Doctorate Ceremony” has formed part of the programme of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth held in Zlín; and both actors now have their stars on the pavement in front of the Grand Cinema.
Since 2007, when the Star Honorary Doctorate was awarded by TBU for the first time, 20 film celebrities, including e.g. Jiřina Bohdalová, Lucie Vondráčková, Jiří Mádl, Vojta Kotek, Anna Geislerová, Klára Issová, Barbora Seidlová, Jan Šťastný and others, have received the award. The award was also conferred on astronaut Andrew Feustel in 2011, and on the Festival’s long-term presenters Dana Morávková and Jan Čenský.
