TBU Hosted the Ambassador of Canada
20. February 2019Her Excellency Barbara Richardson, Canada’s Ambassador to the Czech Republic, visited Tomas Bata University on 20 February 2019. She took a tour of the University Centre in the company of Prof. Vladimír Sedlařík, Rector, got acquainted with the University, and later gave a lecture intended for students of the Faculty of Management and Economics on the Canadian Values and Priorities in Challenging Times.
Ms Barbara Richardson has been in the office of the Ambassador of Canada to the Czech Republic since October 2016. She has already gained extensive professional experience abroad, for example, in the Philippines, Kenya, Zimbabwe or in Angola. She has also worked for the United Nations.
TBU has been cultivating close relationship with Canada since its establishment. The first Chairperson of the TBU Board of Governors was Tomas G. Bata, Canadian citizen.
