TBU Hosts Meeting of Bursars of Public Universities for the First Time
21. October 2026On 14 and 15 October 2026, Tomas Bata University in Zlín hosted a working meeting of bursars from public higher education institutions for the first time. The two-day programme provided an opportunity for professional discussion and the sharing of experience, while also allowing us to showcase our university and the city of Zlín at their best.
The main topics discussed included transparent remuneration, forthcoming legislation on financial control, and current challenges in the financial management of higher education institutions.
Alongside the working programme, we introduced our guests to the TBU’s modern facilities, Zlín’s unique atmosphere, and the inspiring legacy of the Bata company, which remains an integral part of our region’s identity.
The meeting was not only an opportunity to exchange professional expertise but also a great showcase for our university. Thanks to the professionalism, hospitality and outstanding commitment of our colleagues, we demonstrated that TBU is both a respected academic partner and an exceptional host. The enthusiastic feedback from participants suggests that we have set the bar very high indeed.
