Three TBU Academics Were Appointed Professors

Three academics employed at Tomas Bata University in Zlín were among the recently appointed Professors who received their Letters of Appointment from Robert Plaga, the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, on Friday, 4 June 2021 during an official ceremony held in the Karolinum building in Prague.

Prof. RNDr. Leona Buňková, Ph.D. focuses on an interdisciplinary area of research connecting biology and food science.

Leona Buňková was appointed Professor in Food Technology. She is the guarantor of the doctoral programme in Food Chemistry and Technology.

Prof. Ing. Michal Staněk, Ph.D. focuses on the sphere of equipment and tools for the processing of polymers.

Michal Staněk was appointed Professor in Tools and Processes. He is the guarantor of the doctoral programme in Process Engineering, degree course in Tools and Processes, and of the follow-up Master’s programme in Process Engineering, degree course in Construction of Technological Equipment.

The R&D activities of Prof. Ing. David Tuček, Ph.D., current Dean of the Faculty of Management and Economics, are focused on the area of Business Process Management and Industrial Engineering.

David Tuček was appointed Professor in Economics and Management. He is the guarantor of the Master’s and doctoral programme in Industrial Engineering.
