Two Gold Medals from the Aerobic Gymnastics World Championship Go to Zlín
24. October 2018Athletes from the MV Team of Tomas Bata University in Zlín won a total of four medals (including two titles of World Champions) at the Aerobic Gymnastics World Championship that was held in Leiden, The Netherlands, between 16 October and 18 October 2018.
The most successful of all the athletes was Vanda Šimková (junior women) who became world champion in two categories, winning gold in junior women category and in junior trio category together with Erika Ševců and Anna Macková.
The most successful athlete of the Zlín Region 2017 in the junior category, Jáchym Hanák, also put in a brilliant performance at the World Championship and won a silver medal. A trio of cadet-athletes, namely Alena Březinová, Veronika Nováková and Zuzana Němcová brought a bronze medal to Zlín.

Monika Váňová, coach of the athletes: “The members of the MV Team have proved that effort and hard work, determination and endeavour, a good team, love for sports, strong motivation and support from the coach encourage children to give an excellent performance and enable them to gain unforgettable lifetime experiences.”
