University Opened New Educational Complex

Tomas Bata University in Zlín experienced a memorable day on 5 December 2017 because it held the official opening ceremony of the Educational Complex. The complex of buildings is intended mainly for students and academic staff of the Faculty of Humanities. Moreover, an exhibition gallery of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications forms part of the Complex.

The new educational buildings of the University were constructed between 2015 and 2017 in Štefánikova Street in Zlín. The Complex has been designed by world-renowned architect Prof. Eva Jiřičná, author of the neighbouring Congress and University Centre, and a Zlín native.

The programme of the ceremony included an opening preview of an exhibition of photographs entitled “Staircases by Eva Jiřičná” that has been organized by the University in cooperation with the Faculty of Multimedia Communications and held in the newly constructed gallery. The exhibition will be open to the general public from February 2018.
