Research Centres Have Earned the Prestigious HR Award

March 2019Two TBU research centres – Centre of Polymer Systems (CPS) that forms a component part of the University Institute (UNI), and the Centre for Security, Information and Advanced Technologies CEBIA-Tech at the Faculty of Applied Informatics have recently earned the prestigious HR Award as an acknowledgement of the quality of management of research institutions. The European Commission recognizes with the ‘HR Excellence in Research Award’ the institutions which create a transparent working environment on an international level and make progress in aligning their human resources policies to the 40 principles of the Charter & Code in terms of recruitment of researchers.
The construction of both research centres that are largely focused on interconnecting research and the practice was funded mainly by the European Union. Activities implemented at both centres have a significant impact on qualitative indicators and the reputation of Tomas Bata University in Zlín both on the national and international scale, which has a positive impact on the town of Zlín and the Zlín Region.
The centres managed to win the award within the OP RDE project entitled “Development of Capacities for Research and Development at TBU in Zlín” with Reg. No. Z.02.2.69/0.0/0.0/16_028/0006243.
