Faculty of Technology Spread Science
3. March 2020The second edition of the Experience Science festival organized by the Faculty of Technology of Tomas Bata University in Zlín is over.
A total of 86 workshops were offered during the event, out of which 58 were intended for secondary schools students and 28 for the general public. The festival was attended by 484 science enthusiasts from among secondary school students and the general public.
Attendees to the event had a chance to experience real work in laboratories, get themselves acquainted with state-of-the-art instrumentation or discover the magic of gastronomy, chemistry or microbiology – simply put, to become a scientist in practice for a while. We were delighted to see that not only students from secondary schools located in Zlín and the neighbouring areas arrived, but that the festival was also attended by students from more distant towns, such as, Valašské Klobouky, Prostějov, Slavičín or Uherský Brod. The aim of the event was to show that science is not a boring discipline and that it can become a real adventure.
