TBU and Trinity Bank Continue Successful Cooperation

Ing. Radomír Lapčík, LLM, founder of Trinity Bank, and Prof. Milan Adámek, Rector of TBU, have agreed to continue cooperation. On Monday, 11 September 2023, they signed a partnership agreement, thus expressing their readiness to continue cooperation in this academic year. Trinity Bank became a major partner to the University in September 2022.

I am happy that we have found common ground with the new Rector of TBU, Prof. Adámek, and agreed on further options for the development of Tomas Bata University. We will continue to be the University’s major partner,” said Ing. Radomír Lapčík, LLM, founder of Trinity Bank a.s.

I greatly appreciate the long-term fruitful cooperation with Trinity Bank, which leads to the development of the University, our students and academic staff, thus being a significant motivation factor,” said Prof. Milan Adámek, TBU Rector.

A total of 11 projects were supported during the last academic year. Thanks to the funding provided by IGA-K-Trinity, a film by Emma Marková (Bachelor’s project) and entitled “Far from the Tree” could enter the Vancouver International Film Festival and, afterwards, was selected to participate in the official contest.

Another interesting project, namely “Application of a Tornado Early Warning System” was implemented at the Faculty of Applied Informatics. The Regional Headquarters of the Fire Rescue Service of the South Moravian Region showed great interest in using this application. Another application planned to be developed is a flash flood warning system. The goal of another project was to design a holographic projector that would allow the viewers to view the results of computational analyses in 3D without the need to use specialized external equipment, such as glasses or smart devices.

At the Faculty of Humanities, various prevention programmes were developed within the IGA-K-Trinity, designed to target the school environment in particular. The winning project was “My Friend Fear”, which aimed at pupils of the second grade of primary schools. The programme was applied at primary schools in Zlín and may be used by other schools in the future.

Projects focused on Talented Students, the ongoing successful project of Ufbanka and other socially responsible projects were supported at the Faculty of Management and Economics.

Also in the 2023/2024 academic year, a new round of the IGA-K-Trinity will be announced, in which both TBU students and employees can participate.
