TBU Rag Day Attracted a Record Number of Visitors, with More Than 6,000 People Enjoying the Event
6. May 2025This year’s TBU Rag Day exceeded all expectations and was attended by more than 6,000 people. The largest student festival in Zlín, traditionally held in the park near the Bata Villa, has been a fixture in the local cultural calendar for a long time. With a record number of visitors and an attractive programme that offered not only great music but also a lot of fun, laughter and good vibes, the Rag Day once again confirmed its position as one of the biggest festivals in Zlín.
“This year’s edition is a real success for us. Thanks to the great support of several partners, especially our general partner TRINITY BANK, the Zlín Regional Authority and the Municipality of Zlín, we were able to keep the festival free for all to enjoy, which is very important to us. We would also like to thank all the students of the TBU Student Union, who worked on the organization of the festival in their free time and for free throughout the year. Without their enthusiasm and dedication, this festival would not have been such a success. I am convinced that the TBU Rag Day has already become one of the biggest cultural events in Zlín,” said Milan Adámek, Rector of the University.
As in the previous years, the festival featured great musical performances by established artists such as Renne Dang, Adam Mišík or Marko Damian, as well as new talents delighting the audience. In addition to the music, visitors could enjoy a wide range of refreshments, chill-out zones and the traditional contest for the TBU Rag Day King and Queen.
This year, Rag Day also continued the sustainability of the festival through the Clean Festival project. Thanks to special sorting bins and the continuous efforts of the cleaning volunteers, the area remained clean and litter-free throughout the event.
