TBU Was Visited by Karel Havlíček, Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic
18. August 2023Assoc. Prof. Karel Havlíček, Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, arrived in Zlín for a visit on Friday, 18 August 2023. Accompanied by Ing. Radim Holiš, Governor of the Zlín Region, he also visited Tomas Bata University, where they were welcomed by the Rector, Prof. Milan Adámek.
Together, they went to the Faculty of Applied Informatics, where they visited laboratories of robotics, 3D technologies, electromagnetic compatibility and also laboratories of building technology. Afterwards, Karel Havlíček, accompanied by the Rector, headed to the Fénix Centre for Digitisation and Multimedia Technologies, where he was shown a virtual studio, a modern 4K wall and other state-of-the-art technologies.
“It is always a pleasure to visit Tomas Bata University, every time I am pleasantly surprised. Today, for example, I could learn about modern methods used at present for measuring of technological equipment of buildings. Also, the studios located in the Fénix Centre and used for digitization and teaching purposes are truly unique. I am impressed,” said Karel Havlíček.
