TBU Will Take an Active Part in the Film Festival
17. May 2018As every year, students of Tomas Bata University in Zlín will participate in the activities carried out within the 58th Zlín Film Festival that will be held from 25 May to 2 June 2018.
The Faculty of Multimedia Communications will open its NEON TV studio to the attendees to the Festival. The 3D Design studio and the Fashion Design studio will jointly organize a fashion show that will be held within the event ‘Industry Party’ scheduled to take place on 26 May 2018. The Faculty will also hold two exhibitions: the first of them will be on view in the building of the TBU Educational Complex (U18) and will illustrate projects by Prof. Pavel Dias, member of the FMC academic staff. The second exhibition dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Animation studio will take place in Alternativa – cultural institute.
Students of the Faculty of Humanities will also contribute to the programme of the Zlín Film Festival. Students of healthcare and pedagogical degree courses will provide assistance in the first aid tents located in the Peace Square, in the Svoboda Park and Komenský Park, and will offer activities focused on the safety of children near the Zlín Chateau. Students of philological degree courses will assist international guests to the festival and will provide interpreting services to them.
The Faculty of Technology will invite children to the Mysterious Laboratory in the Svoboda Park where they can try various scientific experiments. Older attendees will definitely enjoy a number of interesting lectures.
Children will also have the opportunity to play with robots – under the guidance of PhD students from the Faculty of Applied Informatics – in one of the stands situated in the Peace Square.
