Incoming Mobilities

Teaching Mobility

The vast number of academics who are visiting Tomas Bata University for teaching purposes are coming through Erasmus+ programme, but it is possible to come also through other mobility programmes or as a Freemover. Explore your options and come to teach at one of the most respectful universities in the Czech Republic.

Erasmus+

The Erasmus+ programme is the largest project of European cooperation in the area of higher education. Its principal activities, in particular, are as follows: higher education students’ study periods and traineeships abroad for a period of 2 to 12 months, academic staff teaching mobility and staff training abroad for a period of 2 to 60 days.

Individual staff mobilities are possible within mutual cooperation between universities and institutions based on their inter-institutional agreements. Each faculty at TBU has Erasmus+ agreements that include students and academic mobility (staff mobility for teaching).

The Erasmus+ (European Countries) programme is open to both academic and administrative staff. The required minimum of teaching hours for academic mobility is set to 8 hours on the average of 5 days a week for 1 person, depending on specific conditions set by the inter-interinstitutional agreement signed by TBU and the respective university.

To arrange academic mobility, please, contact the relevant departmental coordinators at specific faculty to plan your visit to TBU. When scheduling your stay, please, consider the duration of our terms:
the Winter semester begins in the middle of September and ends in December
the Summer semester starts at the beginning of February and ends in the middle of May.
The best start to handling your mobility is three months in advance.

More information is also available at the International Office of TBU or at staffexchange@utb.cz.
