Nextbike – Shared Bike Rental
The University has decided to support the active lifestyle of its students, staff and local residents by signing an agreement with Nextbike Czech Republic to establish shared bike stations.
Virtual stations have been set up at eight university locations (see list below) for the rental and return of shared bikes. Users can take advantage of these stations for quicker and easier transport between university buildings and the residence halls. This is a great opportunity to reduce city traffic and avoid parking issues.
There are 120 mechanical bikes and 25 electric bikes available for rental, with 80 official stations throughout Zlín.
Renting a bike is simple – just download the app to your smartphone, scan the QR code on the bike and enjoy your ride. The first 15 minutes are free for all users. In addition, thanks to the TBU’s agreement, all students and staff can receive a one-time credit of CZK 150 when they register in the app using an @utb.cz email address. Additional discounts are available with the ISIC student card.
Nextbike also operates in other cities across the Czech Republic and internationally.
