In all cases, you will be exempt from paying tuition fees and the application fee.
Scholarships for applicants from Ukraine
TBU in Zlín in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic offer special scholarships that will enable students from Ukraine to complete university studies in the Czech Republic. Students who enrolled to studies after 24 February 2022 are eligible for the scholarship.
Accommodation for applicants from Ukraine
TBU offers its students accommodation in the TBU Residence Halls. We recommend using the granted scholarship to pay the rent (charge for accommodation).

Extraordinary scholarships for TBU students from Ukraine
TBU students from Ukraine who are facing serious life situation are entitled to apply for extraordinary scholarship. More detailed information, relevant forms and contacts are available on the website of the TBU Counselling Centre – Counselling on Social Issues.
Visas
Is your visa/long-term residence permit close to the expiry date? No need to worry, your situation will be taken into consideration. Discuss your situation with Bc. František Brázdilík from the International Office (e-mail: brazdilik@utb.cz).
Volunteering
Students from Ukraine may get involved in the provision of assistance that is much needed in the territory of the Zlín Region. Members of the Crisis Management Team of the Zlín Region are seeking volunteers to assist in the following areas:
- Childcare
- Interpreting from/into Ukrainian
- Paperwork
- Work related to accommodation facilities (painting, assistance in moving in, …)
If you are willing to help and interested in doing so, please contact Mgr. Markéta Sovišová (e-mail: sovisova@utb.cz) from the TBU Counselling Centre, who coordinates the network of volunteers at TBU.

Financial support
After the invasion of Ukraine, non-profit organizations have launched public donation collections in order to help Ukrainian citizens. Where can I currently send financial donations to?
ADRA
ADRA Czech Republic is a humanitarian and development organization that helps people in need in the Czech Republic and abroad. ADRA CR is part of the ADRA international network operating in more than 100 countries. Financial donations raised through SOS ADRA: Pomoc Ukrajině (Aid for Ukraine) are and will be used for direct help for people affected by the conflict, and that particularly to meet the basic needs of the evacuated inhabitants. You can donate an optional amount on the webpage SOS ADRA: Pomoc Ukrajině on the website darujme.cz.
People in Need
Citizens of the Czech Republic may also donate money through the People in Need organization. For public donation collection, you can choose from default amounts or donate any amount you wish to send. You can send your donation by means of the webpage SOS Ukraine on the website darujme.cz.
Czech Red Cross
The Czech Red Cross participates in the provision of aid as currently needed according to the information given by the Ukrainian Red Cross. It delivers medical supplies and sends mobile ambulances to the affected areas. More information about the online payment and the bank transfer details is available on the official website of the Czech Red Cross.
The FMC for Ukraine
Students and teachers of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications of TBU in Zlín have launched a charity sale of designs and artworks created in the FMC Studios. Donations can be made via the Sebou application from which money goes directly to the SOS Ukraine account of the People in Need organization.
Endowment Fund for Assistance
Supporters can donate money to the Help Ukraine!, collection, which is organized by the Endowment Fund for Assistance under the supervision of the non-profit organization ADRA. The donations will go to people affected by the war in Ukraine. Supporters can donate money to the collection via the Help Ukraine! page on the znesnaze21.cz website.
Ukrainian tradition in the Czech Republic
The association Ukrainian Tradition in the Czech Republic has launched the #ZaUkrajinu collection on the Donio portal. After the end of the call, the collected amount will be redistributed to specific organizations and to needy Ukrainian families. You can donate through the #ZaUkrajinu page on the donio.cz website.
Material aid
Our University and the Food Bank in the Zlín Region have joined forces. What is most needed now is long-life food (canned food, rice, pulses and others), basic drugstore products, detergents, baby diapers and infant nutrition products, etc. More information about what is most needed can be found on the Food Bank website.

Стипендії для кандидатів з України
UTB у Зліні у співпраці з Міністерством освіти, молоді та спорту Чеської Республіки пропонує спеціальні стипендії для завершення навчання в Чеській Республіці. Стипендія може бути отримана після зарахування на навчання та стосуватися студентів, які навчаються з 24 років. 2. 2022 рік.
Розміщення для претендентів з України
UTB пропонує своїм студентам житло в гуртожитках. Плату за проживання рекомендується сплачувати з призначеної стипендії.

Волонтерство
Студенти з України також можуть долучитися до волентерів, що працюють на території Злінського краю. Представники Кризового штабу Злінського краю шукають волонтерів у таких сферах:
- Догляд за дітьми
- Переклад з/до української
- Адміністрація
- Оформлення житлових приміщень (фарбування, переїзд, …)
