Learning Facilities

Library
In 2008 the new building of the University Centre, that houses the University Library and the University Rectorate, was opened. The author of the building is a world-renowned architect Eva Jiřičná, who was born in Zlín. Significant information resources – around 130,000 of books, two hundred titles of printed newspapers and magazines and one hundred scientific databases consisting of thousands of articles, prestigious scientific journals and e-books — are available in the modern Library (online Library catalogue), which is the largest specialized library in Zlín region. The five-storey building of the University Centre with a large atrium offers 558 study seats, where notebooks can be plugged in; 216 of these seats are equipped with computers.

Monday – Thursday 8am – 8pm
Friday 8am – 6pm
Saturday 8am – 2pm

Furthermore, the Library also offers 6 individual reading rooms (two rooms on each floor), relaxation rooms or living room for their users.

Apart from the premises of the University Centre, the Library provides services in the on-site reading room in Uherské Hradiště as well.

Computer Facilities
Many computer facilities are available for TBU students at the University. Once a student is registered at the University, he/she can be allocated a TBU e-mail address.

Computer and Study Rooms
Computer facilities are available in each University building. The largest computer and reading room is located in the University Library (U13 building). Another computer room is situated on the first underground floor of the Faculty of Management and Economics (U2 building) and on the second floor of the Faculty of Applied Informatics (U5 building). To use the computers, students need a Student ID Card, a login and a password. They are provided with a login and a password by the International Office upon their arrival.

Copy Centre
There are copy machine located in each faculty building as well as in the University Library, which are available for students. For each page printed or copied, a small amount of money will be deducted automatically from your Student ID Card.

The Textbook and Souvenir Shop, which offers a wide range of services, e.g. sale of textbooks, printing and binding services, organization of conferences, etc., is situated in one of the University buildings.
