Sonja Bata, Long-Serving Member of the TBU Board of Governors, Died

We are deeply saddened to announce that Mrs. Sonja Bata, member of the TBU Board of Governors, died at the age of 91.

New Doctors Received Their Degree Certificates and New Associate Professors Were Appointed at TBU

During the festive gathering of TBU academic community held on 8 February 2018, a total of 32 graduates of PhD programmes that had successfully completed their studies at TBU received their degree certificates. Letters of appointment were handed over to 5 new Associate Professors who had successfully completed their habilitation procedure.

 

FAI Academic Senate Elected Candidate to Be Appointed as the Dean

The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Applied Informatics of Tomas Bata University in Zlín elected the candidate to be appointed as the Dean of the Faculty, and that on its regular meeting held on 30 January 2018.

 

14th Annual International Bata Conference for PhD Students and Young Researchers

The 14th edition of the International Bata Conference for PhD Students and Young Researchers will take place at the Faculty of Management and Economics of Tomas Bata University in Zlín on 25 April 2018.

 

Digital Resource Relating to History and Activities of Bata Company to Be Created at TBU

A digital archive that will house various materials relating to history and operations of the Bata company will be created at Tomas Bata University (TBU). An agreement on the creation of the archive was signed on 13 December 2017 by TBU Rector, Prof. Ing. Petr Sáha, CSc., and granddaughter of the founder of the shoe company, Mrs Rosemarie Blyth Bata.

 

University Opened New Educational Complex

Tomas Bata University in Zlín experienced a memorable day on 5 December 2017 because it held the official opening ceremony of the Educational Complex. The complex of buildings is intended mainly for students and academic staff of the Faculty of Humanities. Moreover, an exhibition gallery of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications forms part of the Complex.
